The Giant North American Beaver (
Castoroides ohioensis) was discovered living on the property! We estimate that the animal is approximately 8 ft. long and weights at least 150 pounds. This is the first documented evidence of a living animal since the last ice age (~12,000 years ago) during the Pleistocene Epoch. Further details of our discovery can be found below.

April Fools! The tall stump is the remains of a tree gnawed by a North American Beaver (
Castor canadensis) while standing on two feet of snow this past winter on the property.
